I have a 80s rosewood model W-130 Chaser Acoustic guitar that I purchased at a pawn shop in 1983. Does anyone know anything about it's worth. It's looks like a Martin copy and it sounds fantastic.
I gave a Chaser W-130 rosewood "Martin D-28" copy that I bought at a pawn shop in Bakersfield California in about 1978. It has excellent sound and tone. I paid $100.00 for it and it's the best guitar deal that I ever made. I have several guitars, Fender, Gibson, Taylor, Ibanez, etc. and I enjoy the Chaser and play it more often than all of them combined.
We also have a Chaser acoustic, almost identical to the one in the pictures above. Only ours is rosewood all over, with a black scratch pad. No identification marks, numbers of labels. Paid $20 at a garage sale. 2 strings were missing as 2 nuts were damaged. Very lucky to find 2 identical nuts at a local music shop, amongst his box of spare parts. As others have said, it sounds great. Probably worth $100, but to us it was a great find. R&B
I have this exact guitar. Do you know anything about them? Were they made by Yamaha as a D-28 copy?
